Do you know someone who just got a serious medical diagnosis? Are they scared, blue, or discouraged? These are normal responses to abnormal crises in life.

Emotions have a powerful impact on a good quality of life and on healing. Life satisfaction can be restored with just a little help and focused attention.

As adjunct faculty at Bastyr  University and a PhD in psychology, I offer this 2 part coping skills workshop and support group to help those in need gain tools and strategies for dealing with the emotional upheavals of being given a shocking medical diagnosis.

What Participants Will Gain:
  • techniques for overcoming fear & worry
  • strategies for adjusting to a new health status
  • suggestions for explaining things to children
  • understanding of how emotions impact healing
  • recommendations for alternative care if desired
  • help with putting this diagnosis in perspective
  • metaphysical or spiritual processes for taking control
  • altered consciousness tools to help with pain
  • additional resources and emotional support
